Lee, Charlotte and Jess were at the opening of the new Clay Cross Banking Hub we secured for the area a few months ago and are pleased at the positive feedback so far!
The bank is back. The new Clay Cross banking hub we secured for the area a few months ago is now open Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm on The Parade on Bridge Street, near to Clay Cross Medical Centre. This has brought the main banks back to our local town centre. You can use it for many day to day transactions every day Monday to Friday, and then there are community bankers from 5 of the big banks to help with more detailed queries on specifc days too.
Lee Rowley MP commented "The banking hub is proof of us getting things done. Many residents and businesses raised concerns about the lack of a high street bank in Clay Cross, and so we've worked hard to find a solution. We've come a long way since we made the application for it just over a year ago. Thank you to everyone who is using the hub so far!"
County Councillor Charlotte Cupit added "It's fantastic to see the hub open and lots of people using it - it's also been good to hear from many how helpful it is. As well as bringing banking services back to the town, it's hopefully also a boost to the town centre, alongside the Town Deal regeneration projects."
