A few days ago, I popped into the Royal to see the final finishing touches being made to the amazing new A&E Department about to open in Calow.
This is going to be the biggest upgrade to our health facilities in many decades and, all being well and in just a few weeks, it’ll be open and available for when people need it the most.
A huge thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to get the new A&E built and for all of those who are going to work in the facility and who are busy familiarising themselves and getting ready to use it. Opening is just days away!
This is real example of levelling up in action - an investment of taxpayers money in improving services and infrastructure in our area. And there’s lots more to come - from a new school to town centre regeneration, improvements to the Chesterfield canal to a new banking hub!
Congratulations again to everyone involved in the project - not long now!
