We are thrilled to be welcoming the Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP as our guest speaker at a three course lunch at the Peak Edge Hotel. Liz, as she is commonly known, has been an MP representing South West Norfolk since 2010 and has served in a wide range of posts, including most recently in the Cabinet as Environment Secretary, Justice Secretary and now Chief Secretary to the Treasury – the second most senior position within the Department. Indeed, while in the joint position of Justice Secretary and Lord Chancellor, she was the first woman to hold the latter role in its 1000 year history!
We are absolutely delighted to have her and we are sure her talk will give a fascinating insight into the British economy and the internal workings of the most important department in Government.
Tickets are just £30 each and include a three-course lunch, with Walton Lodge Belted Galloway Beef and other fantastic local produce on the menu.
