ENGLISH WINE TASTING EVENT WITH CLLR BARRY LEWIS
4.30pm | Saturday 9th September | Holymoorside Village Hall, Holymoor Road S42 7DX
Join our newly elected Leader of Derbyshire County Council, Cllr Barry Lewis, for an afternoon of English wine-tasting at Holymoorside Village Hall. Along with running the County Council, Barry is also a well-known viticulturist and director of local producer, Amber Valley Wines, as well as a former Chief Executive of the UK Vineyard Association.
Barry invites you to join us for a couple of hours on Saturday 9th September, from 4.30pm, and taste a range of English Wines, including wines from grapes grown here in North Derbyshire. The event is sponsored by Amber Valley Wines and tickets are priced at just £20 per person. There will be a glass of English fizz on arrival and there will also be a range of canapes to complement the wines.
The wines you taste will be available to buy, which will also raise further funds for the association.
Barry will talk you through English vine growing, the Amber Valley wines story and, of course, the wines, in what promises to be an excellent afternoon social event. The dress code for this event is smart casual.
Our new local MP, Lee Rowley, will also be attending and will be happy to catch up with members about his first few months in the job.
We hope that you’ll support this great event and look forward to seeing you there.
