Passionate local campaigner and Derbyshire Dales District Councillor, Richard Bright has been selected as the Conservative candidate in the upcoming Police and Crime Commissioner elections on Thursday 5th May.
Richard is a member of the Derbyshire Police and Crime Panel which scrutinises policing in the county. He has served in the RAF Reserve and was also an Officer in the Air Training Corps. He is now the Managing Director of a Lighting firm, which serves businesses across the UK and he lives with his partner and two children in Hognaston.
Commenting, Richard said: “I am delighted to have been chosen by Derbyshire residents to contest this important election for the Conservatives. I will be a Commissioner who serves both urban and rural Derbyshire in equal measure and will support our hardworking officers to tackle all types of crime from antisocial behaviour to traffic offences.”
