We know that there's been an increase in potholes recently, which has been made worse by some really poor weather, as we've seen from the flooding and freezes over recent months.
The County Council are working to tackle this by setting on extra resources to repair more potholes but also trying to carry out bigger and more permanent repairs wherever possible.
Charlotte and Lee have been pushing to get our fair share of investment and improvements locally, which has recently led to section resurfacing on pothole hotspots such as North Street and Holmgate Road (with the top part of Holmgate Road and High Street set to be resurfaced later in the year). This is part of an extra £4.2 million patch resurfacing programme.
Cllr Charlotte Cupit said, "These works are welcome but we know there's lots more to be done. So we're campaigning for more roads to be added to the resurfacing programme locally and raising pothole hotspots to try to get permanent repairs. If there are areas of concern near you, please get in touch."
