We are delighted to be hosting a Summer Lunch Party at 12.30pm on Sunday 22 July 2018, taking place in a marquee in the stunning grounds of Somersall Hall, by very kind permission of Mr and Mrs L Linsey.
Calder Valley MP, Craig Whittaker will be joining us as our special guest speaker. Craig has been involved in politics for a number of years and currently serves as HM Lord Commissioner to the Treasury (or a Government Whip to you and I). He has previously served as a Councillor, Cabinet Member for Children & Young People, Chair of the Calder Valley Conservative Association and as a Conservative Party agent. His talk promises to give a fascinating insight into the complexities of navigating the current political climate as a Government Whip.
Tickets are just £25 each and include a cold buffet lunch, with scrumptious summer desert, as well as prosecco and wine. In addition, the perfect musical accompaniment for a summer afternoon will be provided by a local classical guitarist. It would not be a true Conservative event without a raffle and to top it all off we’ll be finishing with an auction for some very special prizes!
Any proceeds from this event will go towards our fighting fund for next year’s all-important District and Borough Council elections, where we hope to make significant gains from the Labour Party.
